Welcome to this week’s Wondrous Words Wednesday, hosted by The Bermuda Onion.
Here’s how it works. Find a new word(s)? Blog about it/them and then link up at the host blog.
Here are my words for the week.
Quire (n.) - a collection of 24 or sometimes 25 sheets of paper of the same size and quality: one twentieth of a ream.
Lypophrenia (n.) – a sense or feeling of sorrow or sadness without knowing why
Logophile (n.) – a lover of words
Geek on,
Deanna
That could be a new name for Wondrous Words...Logophilia!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Wordless Wednesday!
Those are all new to me! Does quire only refer to paper? Talk about an exact word.
ReplyDeleteI think quire is also archaic for choir.
DeleteThey were all new to me.
ReplyDeleteCount me in as another logophile. Fun words!
