Wondrous Words Wednesday 7-1-15

Welcome to this week’s Wondrous Words Wednesday, hosted by The Bermuda Onion.

Here’s how it works. Find a new word(s)? Blog about it/them and then link up at the host blog.

Here are my words for the week.

Atlatl (n.) – Native American weapon. a device for throwing a spear or dart that consists of a rod or board with a projection (as a hook) at the rear end to hold the weapon in place until released.

Nosegay (n.) - a small bunch of flowers; bouquet; posy.

Gobblefunk (n.) - nonsense talk that is hard to understand; rubbish

Ferrule (n.) - a ring or cap usually of metal put around a slender shaft (as a cane or a tool handle) to strengthen it or prevent splitting
