  1. I can't wait to see A Wrinkle in Time! It sure looks like a fantastic movie from the previews.

Tuck Everlasting was one of my favorite books growing up, too. The ending always made me cry.

  2. You know, I was a crazy avid reader as a kid (still am), but have only read two of the books on your list: A Wrinkle in Time and Charlotte's Web. I read every single Wizard of Oz book in existence (that was my series of choice when I was very young) and then went through my obligatory horsey phase and read everything Marguerite Henry wrote, along with the Black Stallion and Island Stallion series, among others.

I, too, am looking forward to A Wrinkle in Time movie ... I hope they do the book justice.

  3. "A Wrinkle in Time" was also one of my favorite books as a kid. I went through an animal phase and worked my way through "Black Beauty," the Chincoteague horse series, Albert Payson Terhune's dog stories, etc. then moved over to 'The Hardy Boys' series (and some of the 'Nancy Drew' series although I liked the boys' adventures much more, lol). I don't go to the movies very often, but I am going to make it a point of seeing "A Wrinkle in Time" and "Black Panther!"

  4. Oh, A Wrinkle in Time was one of my favorites for Ages!
I loved so many books as a child - too many to list - but I cut my teeth on Ray Bradbury, and his books still stand out at my favorites!

  5. Great list! :) A Wrinkle in Time was read TO me and it was my first exposure to that genre. That was in 5th grade. I read a few books of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys and even a few of the Boxcar Children, but I loved books by Clifford D. Simak - I read every one I could get my hands on. From there it was Frank Herbert. It wasn't until after high school that I discovered romance books and I was hooked.
